Giving Made Glorious initiative highlights shift toward digital donations in faith-based settings.
In the lead-up to Easter 2025, Superspree launched Giving Made Glorious, a global initiative aimed at promoting contactless giving across some of the world’s most historically significant churches.
The campaign deployed an average of five contactless donation terminals at each of the 21 participating churches, spanning multiple continents. The initiative aimed to demonstrate the operational effectiveness of modern donation technology and its integration within traditional church environments.
Each white and gold terminal was designed to blend discreetly with its surroundings, offering visitors and congregants a seamless means of making contributions without disrupting the atmosphere of worship.
Campaign Outcomes
Terminals deployed: 105 terminals across 21 churches.
Average daily donations per terminal: 30
Average donation amount: $20
Campaign period: 20 days
Total donations raised: $1.26 million
Church administrators reported that the contactless terminals contributed to an increase in giving rates, particularly among international visitors and younger demographics less likely to carry cash. Many churches noted that the discreet design of the terminals allowed them to be placed without compromising the visual integrity of their interiors.
Observations
Feedback from participating churches indicated that the adoption of digital giving methods was well received by both visitors and regular attendees. Several administrators commented that the terminals supported a noticeable uptick in spontaneous giving, attributed largely to their ease of use.
The campaign also highlighted shifting donor expectations within faith-based environments, underlining the importance of offering multiple, convenient channels for contributions, including digital.
Conclusion
Giving Made Glorious successfully demonstrated that modern giving technology can be integrated at scale within heritage religious sites without detracting from the aesthetic or spiritual environment. The project reinforced the growing trend toward digital donations within the religious and nonprofit sectors, particularly in settings that have traditionally relied on cash offerings.
Plans are under review to expand the program to additional churches and cathedrals ahead of major religious festivals later in 2025.
